Born in Taiping, a historic town shaped by tin mining since 1874, Uncle Wong Coffee honors Malaysia’s cultural roots. Inspired by the town’s unique salty brew, we bring a forgotten local flavor into the modern world, blending over 150 years of tradition with craftsmanship.

Our journey began with a simple idea: a group of visionaries in Taiping wanted to create a coffee that not only fueled the hardworking locals but also captured the essence of the region’s rich cultural heritage. Taiping, a melting pot of Malay, Chinese, and Indian communities, beautifully blends diverse traditions and flavors.

Drawing inspiration from the town’s natural beauty, the founders experimented with local ingredients, combining the finest beans with traditional methods. The fertile lands and unique climate of Taiping produced a coffee that was bold, rich, and full of character.

Our signature salted coffee, Kopi Masin, was born when the founder discovered that salt could enhance the flavor of coffee and add depth. This innovation reflects the resourcefulness of Taiping’s people, who made the most of nature’s gifts.

We didn’t stop there. We introduced Kopi Barli, a barley-infused coffee offering health benefits like detoxifying, diuretic, and energizing properties. Barley clears heat, relieves dampness, and strengthens the spleen, while coffee sharpens mental clarity and provides antioxidants.

Next came Kopi Koko, a cocoa-coffee fusion inspired by Taiping’s local Horkasai flavor. This indulgent blend combines chocolate and coffee to create a bold taste that reflects the town’s unique charm.
